A new leak pertaining to graphics cards points at a possible new offering from Nvidia's stable - the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti. This possible new graphics card has been spotted in a leak as part of a gaming PC configuration, and seems to have been released just ahead of Nvidia's new generation GPU offerings with Volta.
While the presence of such a card in Nvidia’s lineup would indeed make sense, it cannot be ascertained yet.
The card seems to be from Nvidia's OEM partner Asus' stable, and carries the Strix moniker. Speculations suggest that the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti may be an interim answer to AMD's recently released Radeon RX Vega 56, which has been reportedly outperforming the standard GTX 1070 in most benchmarks and real world performance tests. As per data from MyDrivers, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti will come with 2304 CUDA cores, which places it neatly between the standard GTX 1070 and the Nvidia GTX 1080. The model that has been leaked also comes with 8GB of graphics memory.
No further information has been released yet, and there is considerable doubt in terms of whether this data can be considered factual. Neither Nvidia nor Asus has yet made a comment in terms of the existence of a GTX 1070 Ti. Hence, while the presence of such a card in Nvidia’s lineup would indeed make sense, it cannot be ascertained yet.
